The artwork for the CD was drawn by Nat Jones, who is a contributing artist for the comic book Spawn. His artwork has been used by Rob Zombie as well as some of the bands on the Earache label. Manticores music is best described as barbaric, thunderous, hypnotic, slow power! The bands sole purpose is to write, record and perform music that is unconcerned with current trends in the music industry and to write music that is true to themselves like the legendary metal bands that preceded them. Manticore is influenced by bands such as High on Fire, Isis, Slayer, Lamb of God, Crowbar, Mastodon, Black Sabbath, and more. Manticores music is driven by drowning waves of powerful riffs, low-end thunder, and brutally intense vocals. The band is currently writng the follow up to there self titled debut CD Check out MANTICOREs self titled debut which is being heavily promoted through such efforts as Radio Airplay, the Internet, their steadily growing mailing list, word of mouth and free 2-song demo CDs. MANTICORE is working to increase exposure for this CD, as well as for the band.
